STE Orchestra provides children with early orchestral experience. In addition to weekly rehearsals, young musicians have opportunities to perform at concerts, music festival and competitions. In 2022/23 school year, our orchestra recorded and submitted our own arrangement (compliments of Conrad Subieraj) of Wintergreen by the East Pointers to the CBC Canadian Music Class Challenge and received an Honourable Mention in the Community Class. In April, STE Orchestra performed in the Edmonton Music & Speech Arts Festival and received an Award of Distinction for our performance of Two Minuets by Beethoven and Breakbeat by Doug Spata.
