Theory A and B are based on knowledge, not age. Group A is for complete beginners who cannot read music. Group B is for those who has some knowledge of notes. Anyone can attend the class; it is up to parents to check with their child where is their knowledge at. Both groups are on Monday 5:30-6 pm at the same time, so it would be easy to switch between groups in case of any issues. All students are strongly encouraged to attend this class.

Course description: your child will learn basics of reading, sight-reading, theory and harmony.

Required books:

Theory A – Joanne Martin’s ‘I Can Read Music’ Vl 1 according to your instrument (Violin, Viola or Cello. Double Bass students will need a Cello book)

Theory B – Glory St. Germain Workbook “Basic Rudiments Ultimate Music Theory”
